The Challenge
Elevating the "Basic": How to transform a standard white linen shirt into a high-value, designer-tier product without losing the comfort of a casual "Everyday Wear."
Technical Complexity: Standard "Raw Edge" appliqué can look cheap and fray easily. The challenge was to implement the Needle Turn & Interfacing technique—a much more difficult and time-consuming process—to ensure a clean, "invisible" finish that lasts.
Placement Design: Creating a floral layout (Lily and Orchid motifs) that complements the human form rather than overpowering the wearer.
Our Solution
Artisanal Technique Selection: Chose Needle Turn Appliqué with interfacing to achieve a soft, curved finish. This mimics the organic curves of the Lily and Orchid petals found in your moodboards.
Hybrid Embellishment: Combined appliqué for the flower heads with Fishbone Stitch Embroidery for the stems, creating a multi-dimensional "Mixed Media" effect on the fabric.
Strategic Color Systems: * Utilized 2025 Trending Palettes (Mocha Mousse + Dark Blue) to ensure the designs felt "Fashion Forward" and globally relevant.
Offered "Type A, B, and C" variations (Minimalist vs. Bold layouts) to provide options for different customer preferences.
Precision Engineering: Developed a full Measurement Specification (Chest 40cm, Body Length 73cm) and Technical Flat Drawings with specific appliqué placement coordinates to ensure the design remains consistent during production.




The Outcome
Scalable Artisan Product: A production-ready blueprint that merges "Slow Fashion" quality with commercial scalability.
Versatile Design Language: The project successfully demonstrated how a single motif (The Lily) could be adapted across multiple styles, from subtle shoulder accents to bold center-piece designs.
Commercial Viability: By using Linen and Polyester threads, the project resulted in a garment that is both breathable for local climates and durable for long-term wear, hitting the "Modern Heritage" sweet spot of your studio.
